I was going to do a big feature, but then I got SO irritated with all the crap that's mislabeled I wanted to shoot someone...and didn't feel much like featuring people at all. I can't believe the stuff that's in the 'conceptual' category. If you're going to submit snapshots, please put them in your scrapbook, or at least in self portraits or something. A photo of a quarter of your face and some hair is NOT a conceptual portrait. It's just not. I can't believe the volume of this stuff. And if its freaking cosplay, PUT IT IN COSPLAY!! I don't want to see it elsewhere.
I know that I don't always label my photos correctly, but I really try to do so, and I know my photos aren't brilliant, but at least I'm not marketing them as the best thing since sliced bread. I'm so sick of people taking a random photo and being like "YES, it is ART". You have to at least put SOME thought and effort for it to be art... don't take random photos of yourself with various kissy faces </rant>


This could go on a long time. I'll probably not keep this up, I don't mean to be a bitch but WHY in the world does everyone assume that because they have a camera, they are immediately a photographer that should be oohed and ahhed over. I work like hell on my photos, and agonize over which ones are good enough to even make it to this site, I guess it bothers me that people think they can put any crap they want up and people should respect them. >_< So yeah... </secondary rant>
